Hurricanes Helene and Milton

In late 2024, Hurricanes Helene and Milton left a lasting impact across the southeastern United States, causing widespread destruction and hardship for countless communities.

Hurricane Helene
Making landfall as a powerful Category 4 storm, Hurricane Helene brought life-threatening flooding and widespread devastation to Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Tennessee. Families and communities faced immense challenges as they worked to recover from the storm’s destructive path.

Hurricane Milton
Just two weeks after Helene, Hurricane Milton struck the west coast of Florida. With catastrophic rainfall, triple-digit wind gusts, and dangerous storm surges, Milton cut across the state to the Atlantic, leaving behind an unprecedented tornado outbreak and widespread destruction.

Operation USA’s Response
In the wake of these devastating storms, Operation USA mobilized quickly to provide vital support. Working closely with local partners, we:

  • Delivered emergency supplies to communities in critical need.
  • Issued cash grants to grassroots organizations serving affected families directly.

These efforts were part of our ongoing commitment to providing timely and effective disaster relief. By supporting local organizations, we ensured that aid reached those who needed it most, empowering communities to begin the long journey to recovery.
