Since January 6th, a series of devastating wildfires fueled by record-breaking Santa Ana winds have swept through Los Angeles County, destroying thousands of homes and businesses, killing at least two dozen people, and displacing hundreds of thousands more.
The two largest fires—Palisades and Eaton—have burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed and damaged more than 11,000 structures, damaged and remain only partially contained.
As the longest-standing humanitarian NGO based in Los Angeles, Operation USA responded immediately. Once our staff were safe, we worked tirelessly to assess the needs of affected communities and mobilize relief efforts. With the generous support of corporate partners and donors, we are focusing on delivering critical supplies to families and front-line responders.
With the incredible generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our partners—Pelican Products, Meathead Movers, and Connecting a Caring Community—we’ve been able to:
✅ Distribute critical shelter supplies to evacuees, helping families find comfort and stability amid uncertainty.
✅ Provide new shoes and clothing to those who lost everything, ensuring they have basic essentials to start over.
✅ Coordinate relief efforts at key distribution hubs like The Westwood Recreation Center and Crenshaw neighborhood in Los Angeles, getting aid directly into the hands of those who need it most.
These efforts wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of donors like you. Every supply delivered, every family helped, and every bit of hope restored is a direct result of the kindness and compassion of our community.
While immediate relief is critical, disaster recovery doesn’t happen overnight. Families affected by the LA wildfires will need long-term support to rebuild their lives. Many are still displaced, struggling to access necessities, and facing an uncertain future. That’s why Operation USA is committed to staying the course—ensuring aid continues to reach those in need in the weeks and months ahead.
Financial contributions are the most effective way to help.
Together, we can bring hope and relief to the wildfire evacuees. Thank you for standing with us. 🙏
